Personal outreach from Zoho Mail, Fastmail or any SMTP mailbox

Yes, you can run outreach campaigns from Zoho Mail, Fastmail, iCloud or your own mail host. Innmail connects over SMTP and IMAP with an app password and sends from your real address through your provider's own servers, one email at a time.

Why most outreach tools stop at Gmail

Many mail merge tools, such as GMass, YAMM and Mailmeteor, are built around a Gmail or Google Workspace account. That works until your business email lives somewhere else. Then the choice is usually a heavier sales platform or copying emails by hand.

Innmail treats Gmail and SMTP mailboxes the same way. You sign in with Google using only your name and email, then connect whichever mailbox you actually send from.

Connecting Zoho, Fastmail or any SMTP outreach mailbox

Create an app password in your provider's security settings. Most providers require one for third-party apps, and it can be revoked any time without changing your main password. In Innmail, enter your SMTP details for sending and IMAP details for reading replies and bounces.

IMAP matters. It is how Innmail sees that someone replied, so their follow-ups stop, and how it catches bounces to add to your suppression list.

Follow-ups that thread without Gmail

Over SMTP, Innmail sends follow-ups with standard reply headers, so they appear as one conversation in most mail apps. You get up to five steps in total, the same review queue, per-contact preview, sending window and daily cap as on Gmail, and new mailboxes ramp up gradually.

Check your domain first

With your own domain on Zoho, Fastmail or a self-hosted server, you are responsible for SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Innmail's domain checks show which are in place. Fix any gaps with your DNS host before sending. Good records do not guarantee inbox placement, but missing ones are an avoidable problem.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send outreach from Zoho Mail?

Yes. Connect Zoho over SMTP and IMAP with an app password, and Innmail sends through Zoho's servers from your Zoho address.

Does Innmail work with Fastmail and iCloud?

Yes. Both connect over SMTP and IMAP using an app password from your account's security settings.

Why do I need an app password?

Providers use app passwords to let a specific app send and read mail without your main password. You can revoke it at any time.

Do I need a Google account to use an SMTP mailbox?

You sign in to Innmail with Google, which shares only your name and email. Your sending mailbox can be any SMTP and IMAP provider.

Is IMAP required, or just SMTP?

Connect both. SMTP sends the email; IMAP lets Innmail detect replies and bounces so follow-ups stop and bad addresses are suppressed.
